Murdered To Death
Thursday 26th to Saturday 28th October 2017, 7:30pm
All Tickets £9.50 (includes a £1.50 ticket fee)
Peter Gordon's hilarious play takes the traditional weekend country house murder mystery and effectively spoofs the whole genre. Instead of a super smart detective cleverly outwitting the killer we have the bumbling Detective Inspector Pratt. There’s more than a touch of the Clouseau and Basil Fawlty about him and the script is littered with innuendo and more malapropisms than you can keep up with or count.
Set in1930s, in the country manor house of the hostess Mildred, a weekend of entertainment is planned. As the guests begin to gather an uninvited arrival occurs in the form of Miss Maple, who would be the archetypal Christie sleuth if she had a clue what was going on!
Like any classic Agatha Christie story the plot begins with the characters and their conflicts and soon progresses to murder. Everyone seems innocent until a series of conversations reveals all is not quite what it seems. It soon becomes clear that the murderer isn’t finished yet; will the miscreant be unmasked before everyone else has met their doom?
All tickets booked for collection at box office will be available at Heswall Hall on the night of the performance.
The seats are not numbered at Heswall Hall therefore no seat numbers are allocated.
